One of the most awarded bars in Perth, Foxtrot Unicorn focuses on fresh and exciting takes on the classics. Using Ovant Royal the team mixed up a fabulous non alcoholic Hot Toddy. They wouldn’t share the recipe for their magical secret ingredient, but we’ve got a ready made alternative that will stand in nicely.

INGREDIENTS 

80 ml Ovant Royal
60 ml Foxtrot’s secret hot buttered rum batter (or use Lapsang Sounchong tea)
A sprinkle of ground nutmeg
A dash of honey


GARNISH 

Lemon zest

TECHNIQUE

If you don’t have Foxtrot’s secret hot buttered rum recipe, make 200ml of Lapsang Souchang tea. While the tea is still hot pour into the mug with the Ovant Royal, a dash of honey and a sprinkle of nutmeg (to taste). Stir to dissolve the honey. Garnish with the lemon zest and serve warm.
